The Chinese government may reduce or cancel export tax of primary aluminium and refined lead, and allow copper smelters to import some refined minerals in zero tax in order to promote export and company operation..
Several insiders said on Thursday that Beijing Government was considering to cancel the 10% tax on export of refined lead, and cut the export tax of non-forged primary aluminium to 5% from 15%.
The Chinese government indicated earlier that it was going to cancel or reduce export tax of some steel and iron products as well as aluminium alloy rods from December 1. besides, tax rebate of other refined copper pipes with OD no exceeding 25mm will be raised to 9%.
Insiders added, as the largest producer of primary aluminium and refined lead, China ‘s cancle or reduce of export tax for promotion of export would exert pressure on the international market price of MAL3MPB3.
