Citigroup said that cut of aluminium export tax from 15% to 5% would exert export and support the high cost production industry. This would reduce the expectation of further output cut in China.
“This reveals China’s transfer in policy which was committed to controlling expansion of aluminium industry; it also indicates how slow China’s economic growth is.” Said a field people.
Some Chinese governments are reducing electric price for aluminium plants, which will prevent aluminium producers from cutting capacity due to high electric cost.
Slow down of industry production and electric consumption help to ease electric crisis which used to threat aluminium smelters some time earlier.
