Governments of some regions, including Inner Mongolia and Ningxia, have cut the electric price of aluminium plants because of rapid usage slide of electric power as well as deficit of the whole aluminium industry. Yunnan and Guizhou are expected to cut the electric price by 0.03-0.05 yuan in December. Besides, several electric companies are applying for reducing electric price.
The current situation is, aluminium industry is in over-supply with use rate of capacity reducing gradually. Against a environment of this, aluminium plants can hardly maintain the profit growth brought by electric price cut.
The aluminium industry is now in the bottom of the U-shape, induced by comparing the present capacity cut and cost slide to the highest in the history. Besides, market demand has no sign of recovery, the industry will waver around the bottom for a little longer time.
