Chalco is constructing a new plant after capability cut

Aluminium Corporation of China, after capability cut due to demand slid, has been in tough.

Last Friday, Chalco released a H-share announcement, indicating that Shandong Huayu, its Non-wholly-owned subsidiary, is constructing a elelctrolytic aluminium plant with capability of 100000 tons per year.

This event could be controversy since the company released a capability cut only on October 22. However, Chalco considered it would be more profitable to finish the construction as the electrolytic aluminium plant was already in construction.
