Siemens to Supply Chinese Aluminium Company with New Process Control Systems

Siemens Metals Technologies has received an order from the Chinese Henan Youngshun Aluminium Co. Ltd., to supply three new process control systems with the associated flatness measurement and coolant sprays technology. The value of these orders exceeds two million Euros. These projects are scheduled for completion by December 2009.

The three new Siemens VAI control systems will be installed as part of the Yongshun 2009 mill expansion programme. These new process control systems will optimize production and not only contribute to the further improvement of the quality of the rolled products but also increase the productivity of the plants. The new Siemens technology will mainly be used in foil rolling mills. Over 250 Siemens VAI process control systems are installed in aluminum mills worldwide.

Henan Yongshun Aluminium Co. Ltd employs some 1,000 people at their production facility in Gongyi City, Henan Province. The company produces not only sheets, strips, foils and coating materials but also finished products with a great processing depth for a wide range of applications. Its customers are in the domestic goods, electronics, communications and transport sectors, and the packaging and construction industries.
