A insider said on Thursday, China was likely to resume export tax rebate of aluminium extrusions that were widely used in building industry in the newly added Export Plan.
the State Council said on Wednesday that export tax rebate of more than 3770 items would be increased from December with the purpose of stimulating economic growth.
The items include some labor-intensive products, mechanical and electrical products as well as those that are much related. But the inventory hasn’t been announced yet.
China canceled tax rebate of aluminium extrusion on 2007 as a strategy of control the aluminium industry which is resource-intensive.
However, indicated by a insider, the new policy of tax rebate was unlikely to promote export of aluminium profile and aluminium rod in months due to the weak demand from home and abroad resulted from global financial crisis and economic depression.
In the first months this year, China’s export of aluminium products up only 4.5% than last year, while ups and downs of 2007 reached 50%.
Likely, Chinese government may up adjust export tax rebate of copper pipe in December with tax rate of about 5-13%.
