Fall of ocean freight intensify alumina competition in China

Currently, bauxite import fell to 40 dollar/ton CIF, as ocean freight has been reducing to around10 dollars/ton for the past two months.

Cost change of enterprises using imported bauxite was obvious, and is now close to that of inland. Therefore, competition of alumina prices will be more intensify.

According to statistics, alumina price of 2100-2200 yuan/ton has been quoted recently, which will continue to decline.
