November electrolytic aluminium enterprises turning for the better

Electrolytic aluminium enterprises in China has been losing money over the past months. But started from October, production costs of alumina, electric power as well as various accessories were reducing, which turned deficit companies for the better.

According to sources, average October price of aluminium fell 12.2% in the country, prebaked-anode fell 11.49%, Fluoride salt fell 11% and cryolite 7%.

Analysts said that costs of electrolytic aluminium would fall in November, and price of alumina, which was 2300 yuan/ton in October, would be close to 2000 yuan/ton..

Despite cost fall, deficit of electrolytic aluminium enterprises is expanding, which will last till the year end.
