DJ Chalco's CNY420M Shandong Aluminum Smelter Nears Completion

Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. (ACH), or Chalco, said Monday that construction of an aluminum smelter in China's eastern Shandong province at a cost of CNY420.09 million ($61 million) is nearing completion.

The company said in a statement that its primary aluminum production capacity will increase by 100,000 metric tons after completion of the project in December.

Chalco is China's biggest aluminum and alumina producer by output. It is listed in both Hong Kong and Shanghai.
