Aluminum ash is a solid hazardous waste produced during the processing of aluminum ingots. Its components contain valuable substances such as metal aluminum, fluoride, aluminum nitride and a large amount of metal salts. When it meets water, it will produce ammonia gas, which is reactive and Two dangerous characteristics of toxicity, untreated aluminum ash will cause pollution to the surrounding environment. In the "National Hazardous Waste List (2021 Edition)", the primary aluminum ash, secondary aluminum ash, and dust removal ash produced by the aluminum processing industry are all included in hazardous waste management, and aluminum ash has become a "hot potato" in the hands of aluminum processing manufacturers .
Aluminum ash is mainly divided into primary aluminum ash and secondary aluminum ash. The primary aluminum ash is the aluminum slag produced in the process of producing aluminum, and the secondary aluminum ash is the residue after the primary aluminum ash or other waste aluminum is extracted by physical or chemical methods. The metal aluminum content is low and the composition is relatively complex.
