Power supply is tight, five electrolytic aluminum enterprises in Guizhou have been reduced in load

According to Shanghai Securities News on December 13, Guizhou Power Grid issued a notice on December 12 stating that starting from December 13, five companies including Guizhou Huaren New Materials Co., Ltd. and Zunyi Aluminum Co., Ltd. will allocate daily 20% load reduction, implemented in place through 5-day load management. All electrolytic aluminum enterprises are temporarily reduced according to the total scale of 700,000 kilowatts.

The notice stated that since the end of November, the temperature in the province has dropped sharply, and electricity consumption has risen rapidly. Affected by the shortage of high-calorific-value coal, hydropower has been forced to exceed the power supply demand in the province when the power delivery has dropped to the lowest level. . At present, hydropower energy storage has approached the bottom line of safety, seriously endangering the safe operation of the power grid, and there is a risk of large-scale power cuts. The current power gap is relatively large, and non-electrolytic aluminum "two high" enterprises have implemented load management, but they still cannot cover the gap.

According to the notice, in accordance with the requirements of the load management plan, for power users who do not implement load management in place and use electricity beyond the quota without authorization, in order to ensure the safe operation of the power grid, power supply companies may take compulsory power reduction measures in case of emergency.
