North American primary aluminum production in October fell 2% year-on-year and increased 4% month-on-month

In October 2022, primary aluminum production in North America reached 313,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 3.99%. Among them, the output of primary aluminum in September was 301,000 tons, and the output of primary aluminum in August was 305,000 tons; a year-on-year decrease of 1.57%, and the output of primary aluminum in the same period last year was 318,000 tons.
From January to October, the cumulative output of primary aluminum in North America reached 3.114 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.18%, compared with 3.25 million tons in the same period last year.
In October 2022, the output of primary aluminum in South America was 120,000 tons, an increase of 4.34% month-on-month, and the output of primary aluminum in September was 115,000 tons; a year-on-year increase of 20%, compared with 100,000 tons in the same period last year.
From January to October, the cumulative output of primary aluminum in South America reached 1.048 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.71%, compared with 964,000 tons in the same period last year. Source:
