    Kazakhstan's copper production increased in October, while alumina production decreased month-on-month

    In the first 10 months of this year, refined copper production in Kazakhstan jumped 21.3% year-on-year, refined zinc production fell 8% year-on-year, and crude steel production fell 5.8% year-on-year, according to data released by the Statistics Bureau of Kazakhstan on Wednesday. Specific data show that the output of refined copper in October was 32,264 tons, an increase of 7.5% month-on-month and 9.0% year-on-year; the cumulative output of refined copper from January to October was 381,053 tons, an increase of 21.3% year-on-year. The output of refined zinc in October was 20,342 tons, a decrease of 3.2% month-on-month and a decrease of 32.4% year-on-year; the cumulative output from January to October was 228,888 tons, a decrease of 8.0% year-on-year. Kazakhstan produced 127,494 tons of alumina and unprocessed aluminum in October, a decrease of 3.2% from the previous month. Source:
