On November 8, Yuanxin Carbon's first batch of green aluminum graphitized cathode carbon blocks was successfully delivered, marking the official operation of Yuanxin Carbon's graphitized cathode carbon block project.
Since the beginning of this year, under the influence of the national energy consumption "dual control" and "dual carbon" policies, more electrolytic aluminum enterprises have begun to use graphitized cathodes with significant energy-saving effects to replace traditional graphite cathodes in order to reduce electrolytic energy consumption. Changes in demand are forcing Yuanxin Carbon to upgrade its technology and products imminently.
Under the arrangement and deployment of Chinalco and Chinalco Carbon and the care and guidance of leaders at all levels, Yuanxin Carbon completed the project construction in only 3 months, and deployed scientific research and technical personnel at all levels to study the stability of raw material particles, bulk density, Conduct in-depth research on physical properties such as asphalt wettability; use existing small-scale experimental equipment for scientific research, conduct hundreds of simulation experiments on many experimental formulas and related process parameters, and finally determine different production formulas, molding processes and optimal roasting curves.
The graphitization process of the project was successfully energized on September 23, with an annual design capacity of 20,000 tons. It can produce graphitized and graphite cathode products, which can meet the needs of cathode carbon blocks of different cell types for electrolytic aluminum. Source:
