EGA, the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates (excluding the oil and gas industry), welcomes Zhang Yiming, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, to the company's Jebel Ali factory in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. EGA Managing Director Abdulla Jassem Kalban received the Ambassador and his colleagues.
UAE Global Aluminium exports raw materials for bauxite to China. China is the largest single market for EGA's bauxite, which is shipped to China from its mining operations in the Republic of Guinea. In the previous year alone, EGA received $616 million worth of goods and services deals from 55 different companies from across China.
Zhang Yiming said: "I am very happy to see that EGA, as a leading company in the aluminum industry, has a very good cooperation with SEPCOIII and achieved mutual benefit and win-win results. I hope that there will be more Chinese enterprises that can cooperate with EGA and other high-level enterprises in the UAE. To strengthen cooperation, we also welcome EGA to invest in China and share the dividends of China's new round of reform and opening up."
EGA's Jebel Ali plant has been awarded the main EPC contractor for its H-type power plant and reverse osmosis water plant through a subcontract to a Chinese company, SEPCOIII. Chinese Ambassador Zhang met with the employees of Shandong Electric Power Plant No. 3 with Chinese descent at the project site and exchanged moon cakes to commemorate the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese cultural festival.
