Chinese aluminum smelters, struggling with shrinking demand and tight profit margins, called on the government for help through measures including an export tax rebate for aluminum profile at a routine meeting held by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNMIA), an official told Interfax on Oct. 29.
