Aluminium only among all nonferrous metals in China is in net export. China is a major producer and consumer of nonferrous metals, whose economy growing rate has been reduced caused by metals prices. However, the trend of increasing import of other nonferrous metals continues as the demand never ceases, offering a major strength for aftermarket.

Copper is in the pattern of net import, 880000 tons from January to September, and exceeding 100000 tons added with other copper alloy and copper products, the Customs shows.

Export of aluminium products in China has been transferred to export of aluminium alloy. According to the customs, net import of primary aluminium was 34000 tons while export of aluminium alloy was 523000 tons from January to September.

July Lead trade also turned from net export to net import. Import of refined lead was 6057 tons in September, up 1736 tons than August. This was mainly resulted from a increased demand as well as the unfavorable export policy.

So is the case of refined Zinc, net imported 103600 tons from January to September, and 29000 tons for September alone.

Net import of refined nickel and alloy has been increasing, reaching 9800 tons in September, up 50% year-on-year. Net imported 87000 tons from January to September.
