DJ Chalco 3Q Net CNY182.9 Mln Vs CNY2.29 Bln

Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. (ACH), or Chalco, said Friday its third-quarter net profit fell 92.9% from a year earlier on lower product prices and higher raw material and fuel costs.

Chalco said net profit for the three months ended Sept. 30 was CNY182.9 million, down from CNY2.29 billion a year earlier under Chinese accounting standards.

The company said earlier this month its third-quarter net profit would fall by more than 50% from a year earlier.

Third-quarter revenue fell 7.9% to CNY19.1 billion from CNY20.7 billion.
