    Alumina price marginally higher at RMB2516/t; A00 aluminium ingot price falls RMB130/t

    The average spot alumina price in China has extended growth by RMB 6 per tonne or 0.24 per cent from Friday to stand at RMB 2516 per tonne on Monday, 24 February 2020. Alumina prices have increased across in East and Central markets in China.


    The prices of alumina in East and Central markets have climbed by RMB 10 per tonne each to stand at RMB 2520 per tonne and RMB 2525 per tonne. Alumina-North and Alumina-South remain unchanged at RMB 2530 per tonne and RMB 2520 per tonne.


    A00 aluminium ingot price stands lower by RMB 130 per tonne to RMB 13410 per tonne on February 24, from its previous price of RMB 13540 per tonne. This marks the third consecutive drop in aluminium price. The price is expected to move within a range of RMB 13390-13430 per tonne. Spot aluminium price is likely to be traded at a discount of RMB 70-30 per tonne.


    Aluminium ingot price in Foshan and Wuxi stand at RMB 13410 per tonne and RMB 13400 per tonne, down RMB 140 per tonne and RMB 110 per tonne. The prices in Hangzhou, Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin, Linyi, and Gongyi have decreased to stand at RMB 13420 per tonne, RMB 13430 per tonne, RMB 13455 per tonne, RMB 13440 per tonne, RMB 13530 per tonne, and RMB 13325 per tonne.


    The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has registered a drop of RMB 150 per tonne on Monday, 24 February 2020. The price now stands at RMB 14100 per tonne. The Aluminium alloy (ZLD102) and Aluminium alloy (ZLD104) prices have reduced by RMB 150 per tonne each to RMB 14050 per tonne each.
