    “Land allotted to Jindal group for Bauxite mining required to be taken back”

    The members of the All India Kisan Sangh (AIKMS) and Progressive Organization of Women (POW) have urged the Government to take back the land allotted to Jindal South West Aluminium in S Kota Mandal in Vizianagaram district for Bauxite mining.

    Numerous people’s organization demanded the government to take the lands, as the bauxite mining on this land is already cancelled by the government itself. Under the cultivation of the Adivasi, Dalit and Bahujan farmers in Kiltampalem, Mulaboddvara and Mushidipalli panchayats in S Kota Mandal the government has taken over the land.

    The government has cancelled the mining GO and allotment of bauxite blocks to the Jindal group also stands cancelled, communicated by M Venkateswar, Vice-President of International Federation of Trade Unions (IFTU).
