    Aluminium billet inventories fall for the ninth consecutive week

    As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, inventories of aluminium billet fell for the ninth consecutive week. Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China stood at 54,400 tonnes as of Thursday December 12, down 22,400 tonnes from December 5.

    Inventories dropped 1,100 tonnes in the previous week. The chart below indicates the current status of aluminium billet inventories across China in more details:

    Inventories of aluminium billet in Foshan, Guangdong and Wuxi, Jiangsu stood at 16,200 tonnes and 16,000 tonnes, down 11,100 tonnes and 7,700 tonnes from December 5. Stocks in Changzhou, Jiangsu declined by 1,500 tonnes to stand at 5,200 tonnes.

    Nanchang, Jiangxi inventories fell by 2,100 tonnes from 6,100 tonnes to 4,000 tonnes on Thursday December 12. Inventories of aluminium billet in Huzhou, Zhejiang remained unchanged at 13,000 tonnes.

    The prices of aluminium alloy in China markets remained unchanged on Thursday, 12 December 2019. Aluminium alloy (ADC12) remained the same at RMB 14,850 per tonne. The price is likely to move within a range of RMB 14,750-14,950 per tonne.
