Tajikistan Cuts Aluminium Output Target

Reuters quoted a government source saying that Tajikistan has cut its aluminium output growth target for this year to 5% from 20%, citing a decline in prices and feedstock supply issues. The source said several incidents had disrupted the supply of coking coal and alumina to the state-owned alumina company, TALCO.

The Central Asian nation produced 95,800 tonnes of aluminium last year.
