    Alba’s aluminium production and sales volume in Q3 2019 rose 53% and 51% YoY

    The production and sales report of Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) for the third quarter of 2019 reveals that the company’s aluminium production topped 385,396 tonnes, up 53 per cent from 251,472 tonnes in the same period last year. Sales volume grew 51 per cent year-on-year to stand at 376,025 tonnes, compared with 248,970 tonnes in Q3 2018.

    For the nine months of 2019, Alba’s report reveals that the production rose 26 per cent from 762,952 tonnes in the same period of 2018 to 963,830 tonnes, while sales volume increased to 945,067 tonnes after rising by 26 per cent as well from 750,202 tonnes in the nine months of 2018.

    CEO of Alba, Ali Al Baqali, said: “With the double-digit growth in our Production and Sales’ Volume, we are set for a strong finish to 2019. This year is proving to be transformational for Alba as we will produce 1,350,000 mt for the first-time in history and deliver Line 6 into commercial operations.”

    The financial results for the third quarter and nine months of 2019 would be released to the public on October 27, said Alba.
