Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), on course to become the world’s largest aluminium smelter, is proud to announce the launch of its Master Training Plan for its employees. Led by the Acting Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali, this initiative aims to create a customised training plan that will meet the needs of every job and employee in the Company.

Held on 06 October 2019, the Acting Chief Executive Officer said during the launch of this initiative:

“We are not only in the business to make money but also in the people’s business and Alba future lies in investing in its people.

The Master Training Plan - in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 - is one-of-a-kind opportunity for our employees, both management and non-management as it is tailored to bring us closer to fulfil our vision of being the world’s largest smelter.”

The trainings will be delivered by Alba’s Training Faculty, specialists from departments as well as external vendors/consultants. These trainings will also be extended to Alba contractors, especially in the areas of Safety, Health and Environment.

Employee Training and Development has been one of the founding principles of Alba. With a Bahrainisation rate of more than 83%, Alba - through the Master Training Plan – will further emphasize its position as a leading employer of choice in Bahrain. It’s worth noting that Alba has completed 1.7 million hours on the training activities for Line 6 Expansion Project.
