Philippe Briand from the London-based design firm Vitruvius has reportedly designed a brand new 45-metre superyacht in collaboration with the French shipyard Ocea. The yacht named Nautilus 45 features aluminium hull and superstructure and is designed to cruise through all landscapes. It typically boasts a combination of elegance and luxury with the adventurous potential of an explorer vessel.

Philippe Briand said, “Our design features simple, sleek lines with no superfluous details. The Nautilus 45 combines all the essential elements: it is the best yacht for 2020, the ultimate evolution in yacht design.”

The superyacht has an accommodation capacity for total 12 guests into five large guest cabins and one full-width master suite.

“The specifications of the Nautilus 45 are similar to those of the OCEA Classic of twenty years ago: a comfortable, spacious boat,” explained Briand.

He further said, “Our goal was to achieve maximum comfort and overall efficiency with a contemporary design.”

Two eight-metre tenders can be housed on the main deck of the Nautilus 45 and will allow her owner and guests to explore even the most remote bays and coastlines. An easy boarding system seeks to facilitate safe access to and from the ocean on the tender, which was developed exclusively for the Nautilus 45.

Her aluminium hull and superstructure will ensure faster, more economical and more fuel-efficient cruising. Powered by twin 1000bhp engines, Nautilus 45 can reach a top speed of 16 knots and, thanks to her lightweight construction, has a transatlantic range of 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.
