China Produced 23.567 Million Tons of Electrolytic Aluminum in the First Eight Months

£¨Aluminium Network£©China's electrolytic aluminum output in August was 3.05 million tons, down 3.48 percent year-on-year and 1.96 percent month-on-month. The total output of electrolytic aluminum in China from January to August was 23.567 million tons, down 1.89 percent year on year. In August, China domestic electrolytic aluminum production dropped significantly, mainly affected by accidents in some aluminum plants in Shandong, Xinjiang and other provinces. At the same time, the rate of new and resumed production capacity is still relatively slow. By the end of August, the operating capacity of China's electrolytic aluminum decreased to 34.9 million tons, and the total suspended and idle capacity was 5.8 million tons.
