Chinalco Join hands with Chongqing to Establish High-end Aluminium Products Manufacturing Platform

(Aluminium Network) Chinalco has signed agreement with Chongqing Aluminium Industry Development and Investment Group Co., Ltd, to establish Chinalco Manufacturing Group together. Thi s joint project will  focus on lightweight, intelligent and high-end; products are positioned in strategic emerging industries like national defense and military industry and rail transit ships. It strives to develop into a high-end manufacturing overall solution provider with an output value of 100 billion yuan and a market value of 100 billion yuan by 2025.

This project also has signed contract with Chongqing government, two parties will set up Chinalco High-end Manufacturing Group with shareholding ratio of 65% and 35% for each. They will build a globally competitive high-end manufacturing aluminum industry platform centering on the new materials fields such as aerospace and automotive lightweight.

It is reported that as aerospace and defense materials research and development support, high precision aluminum research and development production and export base that Chinalco has a large number of aluminum processing enterprises. There are currently three in Chongqing£¬Chinalco Southwest Aluminium, Chinalco SAPA and Chinalco Chongqing Branch—— have laid certain foundation for the high-quality development of Chongqing nonferrous metals industry.
