New Aluminium Processing Capacity to Come Online In Guangdong

SMM reported that an aluminium processing project with a capacity of 100,000 tonne per year at Guangtai Metal Materials in Dongguan of Guangdong province is ready for commissioning. The project involves aluminium billet capacity of 60,000 tonne and high-end alloy capacity of 40,000 tonne, with molten aluminium supplied by Chinalco Qinghai.

It is expected to come online in end-July or early-August after the weather eases in Qinghai.
