Alumina price continues downward trend; A00 aluminium prices increase in major markets

As on Tuesday, 16 July 2019, the average spot alumina price stands at RMB 2547 per tonne, down by RMB 35 per tonne from its previous price of RMB 2582 per tonne on July 15. Average alumina price in East China is hovering around RMB 2650 per tonne, down RMB 30 per tonne from its previous price.

Alumina Central China stands at RMB 2560 per tonne, down RMB 30 per tonne from RMB 2590 per tonne. Alumina price in North China has dropped by RMB 40 per tonne to stand at RMB 2530 per tonne, and Alumina South China is down RMB 35 per tonne at RMB 2555 per tonne.

Australian alumina FOB price has decreased by USD 10 per tonne to USD 300 per tonne on Tuesday, 16 July 2019. Alumina (Imported) is down RMB 50 per tonne or 1.67 per tonne at RMB 2950 per tonne. The average price is expected to range within RMB 2900- 3000 per tonne.

On the other hand, A00 aluminium ingot price is up by RMB40 per tonne from its earlier price. The price stood at RMB13840 per tonne today. The average price is expected to move within a range of RMB13820-13860 per tonne. Spot aluminium price is likely to be traded at a discount of RMB 20 per tonne to premium of RMB 20 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot prices in all the major markets have witnessed a growth today. Aluminium ingot price in Foshan came in at RMB 13830 per tonne, up RMB 10 per tonne. Ingot price in Wuxi and Hangzhou increased RMB 25 per tonne each to stand at RMB 13835 per tonne and RMB 13860 per tonne.

Aluminium ingot price in Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin, Linyi, and Gongyi stood at RMB 13830 per tonne, RMB 13830 per tonne, RMB 13830 per tonne, RMB 13870 per tonne and RMB 13720 per tonne.
