    Alumina price in China up by 1.32%; A00 aluminium ingot price extends growth

    The average spot alumina price stood at RMB2990 per tonne on Thursday, 16 May 2019, representing an increase of RMB39 per tonne or 1.32 per cent from yesterday. Alumina price also increased across major markets in China today.

    Alumina price in Central and North rose by RMB40 per tonne each to stand at RMB 2990 per tonne and RMB3010 per tonne. Alumina-East registered RMB2990 per tonne today, up RMB30 per tonne. Alumina-South increased from RMB2900 per tonne to RMB2935 per tonne.

    Imported alumina price recorded a growth of RMB50 per tonne on Thursday, 16 May 2019. The price stood at RMB3040 per tonne from RMB2990 per tonne.

    A00 aluminium ingot price rose from RMB 14340 per tonne on May 15 to RMB 14360 per tonne on May 16. The price is expected to range within RMB14340-14380 per tonne today. Spot aluminium price is likely to be traded at a discount of RMB10 per tonne to a premium of RMB30 per tonne.

    On Thursday, 16 May 2019, Foshan aluminium ingot price increased RMB20 per tonne to RMB14380 per tonne. Ingot price in Wuxi and Hangzhou rose RMB25 per tonne and RMB20 per tonne to stand at RMB14350 per tonne and RMB14360 per tonne. Aluminium ingot price in Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin, Linyi and Gongyi stood at RMB14370 per tonne, RMB14375 per tonne, RMB14330 per tonne, RMB14380 per tonne and RMB14270 per tonne.
