    Alumina price in China continues to stay high; A00 aluminium ingot price edges higher

    Alumina spot prices increased across China major markets on Wednesday, 15 May 2019. The average alumina spot price rose from RMB 2850 per tonne on May 14 to RMB 2951 per tonne on Wednesday, May 15. The price is expected to range within RMB 2951-2951per tonne today.

    As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, the average price of Alumina-East has risen by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 2960 per tonne; Alumina-Central is up by RMB 100 per tonne at RMB 2950 per tonne; Alumina-North is up by RMB 100 per tonne at RMB 2970 per tonne; and Alumina-South is up by RMB 110 per tonne to stand at RMB 2990 per tonne as on May 15.

    Imported Alumina price recorded an increase of RMB 50 per tonne to RMB2990 per tonne. The price is expected to range within RMB 2940-3040 per tonne today.

    The A00 aluminium ingot price in China has edged higher by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 14340 per tonne today. The average price is expected to range at RMB14320-14360 per tonne. Spot aluminium contract is likely to be traded at a discount of RMB20 per tonne to a premium of RMB20 per tonne.

    On Wednesday, 15 May 2019, Foshan aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 80 per tonne to RMB14360 per tonne. In Wuxi and Hangzhou market, ingot price has risen to RMB14325 per tonne and RMB14340 per tonne. Aluminium ingot price in Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin, Linyi and Gongyi stood at RMB14350 per tonne, RMB14360 per tonne, RMB14320 per tonne, RMB14340 per tonne and RMB14260 per tonne.
