Automotive Aluminum Advisors LLC announced the addition of three most experienced aluminium technology and engineering experts to its team. Automotive Aluminum Advisors LLC is a consulting & engineering firm that works with the automotive sector in the areas of aluminium technology & engineering and R&D. The appointments are aimed at cementing the company’s position as an industry leading consultant group in the above mentioned sector.

Daniel Bryant is a former Technical Fellow at the Alcoa Technical Center who has led the development of new type of automotive aluminium alloy. He has proven track record in developing new aluminium sheet, extrusion and foundry alloys for automotive applications.

James Burg, a former Chief Design Engineer at Alcoa is an expert in lightweight product and process design. He developed and qualified numerous next generation lightweight structures and products working with Alcoa’s many world-wide business units and customers.

Glenn Jarvis has experience in working with both Alcoa and GM and brings more than 30 years of leadership in metals manufacturing and stamping processes to the team. He has served as prototype build manager for many all-aluminium lightweight vehicle chassis.

“Our team’s deep experience in advanced lightweight materials development, structural design, manufacturing technology and major OEM program launches uniquely positions us to support the automotive OEMs, tiers, mills and research organizations as aluminum pounds per vehicle continue to increase beyond historic levels,” said Nate Beavers, Founder and President of Automotive Aluminum Advisors.

According to Ducker Worldwide, aluminium will be accounting for 51% of vehicle mass reduction by 2028 in combination with steel and other metals. Aluminum growth is expected to exceed 226 kgs per vehicle by 2028 with more aluminium being used in closures and Body in White (BIW) applications.

The three new members will support an already strong team with experts from joining technologies and other related subject matter experts.
