    Alumina price in China up RMB20/t; A00 aluminium ingot price remains on upward trend

    Average spot alumina price in China stood at RMB2695 per tonne on Tuesday, 23 April 2019, which indicates a 0.75 per cent increase compared with RMB2675 per tonne. The average price is expected to range within RMB2695 per tonne.

    Spot alumina price in Central China and North China increased RMB20 each to stand at RMB2700 per tonne and RMB2690 per tonne. Spot alumina price in the South China market and East China market stood at RMB2695 per tonne and RMB2700 per tonne.

    A00 aluminium ingot price on Tuesday rose RMB70 per tonne or 0.50 per cent from yesterday. The ingot price today stood at RMB14200 per tonne. Spot aluminium contract is likely to be traded at discount of RMB30 per tonne to premium of RMB10 per tonne. The average price is expected to range at RMB14180-14220 per tonne.

    Aluminium ingot price in the East Wuxi and Hangzhou increased RMB40 per tonne and RMB65 per tonne to stand at RMB14170 per tonne and RMB14220 per tonne respectively. Ingot price in the South and North rose RMB80 per tonne each to stand at RMB14200 per tonne and RMB 14180 per tonne.

    The price of aluminium powder increased to stand RMB17.8 per kg on Tuesday, 23 April 2019. The average price is expected to range at RMB17.70-17.90 per kg.
