    Electric car manufacturers have a total demand for aluminium of 250,000 tonnes

    Electric cars have opened up a significant niche market in the car market. As of last summer, the whole world has sold out 3.5 million electric cars and 4210 thousand electric public bus.  Last year, electric car manufacturers have a total demand for aluminium of 250,000 tonnes, while average car needs 250kg of aluminium. The experts stated though electric cars have considerable total demand for aluminum, this amount will  could grow tenfold to 10 million tons in 2030.

    More and more consumers see that electric cars as a serious competitor to the internal-combustion engine. It is considered that the sales of electric cars will see a substantial increase, the market share of electric cars is expected to raise from 4% in 2017 to 30% in 2030. At the end of 2018, the number of electric cars worldwide is expected to exceed 4 million, and half of the owners have the access to charging pile. Besides, half of all electric cars are in China. China is also expected to take the lead in electric vehicles given the rapid growth of its auto market. Thanks to the great promotion of electric cars by Chinese government experts believe China will become the world's largest market for electric cars by 2040.

    As time goes on, electric cars will show more and more development prospects, and aluminium industry will also see significant growth as a result. Electric cars are an industry that increasingly relies on ready-made aluminum and aluminium alloy. As its penetration has improved in the market, the country and private companies are also devoting to create better and more reliable electric vehicles which is a good sign for aluminium and aluminium alloy industry.
