Indiana’s aluminium firm Jupiter Aluminum Corporation announced recently plans to invest an additional USD12 million to expand its presence in northern West Virginia. Jupiter Aluminum is expanding its lines in the former Wheeling Corrugating Plant.
Mr Paul-Henri Chevalier, president of Jupiter Aluminum, said “Jupiter Aluminum was born on the remains of a bankrupted company and since 1992 kept growing in the United States, so we know what it takes to revive and grow a business. Beech Bottom comes as a natural expansion of our painting capabilities. The Northern Panhandle’s extensive experience in manufacturing has allowed us to increase the plant personnel six times since its humble beginning in 2014. We are very happy to be a part of the community and look forward to continuing to expand our business.”
Boasting an annual production capacity of 125 thousand tonnes, Jupiter utilizes recycled aluminium for 96% of its feedstock. The Hammond, Indiana firm operates a trio of locations, including a scrap processing unit in its home state and two painting factories, one each in Indiana and West Virginia. Jupiter reported almost USD 400 million in revenue in the most recent fiscal year.
