Recently, China Aluminum Company adjusts the alumina price from 2,400 yuan per ton to 3,600 yuan per ton, with an increase of 50%. This is the first time to hike, following seven domestic alumina manufactures to raise the price.
In fact, the strong demand of aluminum is the basic factor of firm alumina price. This year, there is a strong demand in aviation market, and a moderate increase in automobile industry. China, India, Russia and Brazil particularly promote the global demand in aluminum. Alcao expects that the demand will be double in next 15 years.
How long can be the trend of alumina price raise lasted? How much space left? If these hot issues are answered with the opposite theory, what is that if people generally feel that the risk to decline the price exists in the current price, it is safe instead and the trend can be kept with left space, and vice versa.
