    Chinese A00 aluminium ingot price records fourth consecutive rise to the highest this month

    The A00 aluminium ingot price has once again recorded a rise today, on February 18, by RMB 70 per tonne to stand at RMB 13,410 per tonne, found Shanghai Metals Market. This marks the fourth back-to-back growth and the highest in comparison with the previous three price rise. The aluminium ingot price, as of today, also stands the highest this month. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 13,390 per tonne and RMB 13,430 per tonne, with spot discounts to settle at RMB 60 per tonne to RMB 20 per tonne.

    As the ingot price growth has touched upon all the major markets in China, the markets in the east (Wuxi and Hangzhou) have witnessed price rise by RMB 65 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne to settle at RMB 13,385 per tonne and RMB 13,390 per tonne. In the southern and northern markets, on the other hand, the prices have increased by RMB 90 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 13,450 per tonne and RMB 13,400 per tonne respectively.

    The input costs still remain the same, as per the data found by Shanghai Metals Market. The spot alumina price is at RMB 2,793 per tonne, while the prices of bauxite, the pre-baked anode, and aluminium fluoride are at RMB 550 per tonne, RMB 3,457 per tonne and RMB 12,100 per tonne, respectively.

    Only the price of aluminium powder has registered today by RMB 20 per kg, from RMB 16.70 per kg to RMB 16.90 per kg, learned SMM.
