6063 aluminium billet stocks record a dip in China by 8,800 tonnes over the week

According to Shanghai Metals Market, stocks of 6063 aluminium billet shrank over the week ended on January 17, across five major consumption areas in China. Since the stocks dipped 8,800 tonnes they now stood at 80,700 tonnes, SMM data showed. The reason for this plunge in aluminium billet stocks could be limited arrivals to the warehouses.

In Foshan and Guangdong, the billets stocks are now hovering at 46,900 tonnes while that in Wuxi and Jiangsu at 11,200 tonnes. In Huzhou and Zhejian, and in Nanchang and Jiangxi, the inventories are pegged at 4,400 tonne and 7,200 tonnes, respectively.

However, the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) as of today has remained unchanged at RMB 14,800 per tonne. This price has been continuing since January 14 after a drop from RMB 14,850 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (A380) price also remains the same today at 15,550 per tonne, while aluminium alloy (A356) price has increased by RMB 50 per tonne, from RMB 13,900 per tonne to RMB 13,950 per tonne.
