Xipeng Aluminium Industrial Park striving to reach hundred billion level

Liu Zujin, Director of Chongqing Xipeng Aluminium Industrial Park, said on the 13th World Aluminium Conference that output value of the park would reach hundred billion yuan in 2012, and output value of last year was close to 28 billion yuan.

Liu Zujin also said that hot rolling, cold rolling and thick board as well as electrolytic aluminium expansion projects of Southwest Aluminium would become main supports of the hundred billion yuan output value.

According to introduction, Xipeng Aluminium Industrial Park was constructed by Chongqing and Chalco, aiming at building Chongqing into the ¡°Aluminium Processing Capital¡±.

Industrial data revealed that China aluminium consumption per capita, which is expected to rise 13% in 2008, of 2007 was 6.5 kg, lower than American which is 27.4kg.
