The US output of aluminum in Jan increased by 3% to 201,508 tons.

     According to news in London on May 2, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced Wednesday that the output of primary aluminum was 201,508 tons in Jan, an increase of 3% over 196,000 tons in December, and an increase of 2% compared with 197,000 tons in same period last year.
   The data shows that the daily output is 6,500 tons, an increase of 3% over the last month, and a year-on-year increase of 2%.
  The output of aluminum in Jan, generated from used aluminum, was 257,000 tons, a 6% increase over that in December, and same compared with the same period last year.

Generated from new used aluminum, the output of aluminum in Jan was 161,000 tons, an increase of 5% than that in December, and a decline of 4% compared with the same period last year.
