Lately, a inspection was conducted in Ningxia which was approved to have great potential in developing magnalium alloy industry.
Magnalium is now one of the widest used light alloy in the world. Ningxia has the predominance and natural condition for development of this industry: it has stock of dolostone 1.9 billion tons, verified stock 0.2 billion tons, ranking 2nd in China; besides, this region generated 0.1 million tons magnesium, 0.6 million tons electrolytic aluminium in 2007, ranking top in China; and the industry base in East Ningxia, which is rich electric resourced, is taking shape.
However, Ningxia is lack of downstream industries, development technology and marketing strength of this field. Therefore, it should put in priority in bringing in talents, technology and investment, etc.
