Chalco: construct 1.5 billion yuan aluminium alloy strip plant in the northeast

Besides exploring various metal resources, Chalco has been developing the aluminium industry, one of its mainstay industries. Chalco Dongqing Company held the foundation stone laying ceremony for the strip production line project, as Chalco was to invest 1.5 billion yuan on constructing aluminium processing base in the northeat.

According to introduction, this project is totally invested for more than 5 billion yuan, including 4.1 billion yuan construction capital. The project is composed of two sections: the 50000T wide& thick strip production line and the 150000T strip production line; it can reach annual output of 200000T, utilized in aluminium strip materials for national defense, military, petrochemical, transportation, mechanism manufacture and architecture, etc. The construction will last for 3 years, after which, Northeast Light Alloy will be able to reach sales income of more than 7 billion yuan, realizing profit tax about 0.6 billion yuan, profit more than 0.4 billion yuan. 

Northeast Light Alloy Co., Ltd was founded 56 years ago, is now a large aluminium processor in China and regroup with Chalco in Sep. last year.

Chalco is now the 2nd largest aluminium producer and 3rd largest electrolytic aluminium producer in the world. Its aluminium processing bases covers southwest, southeast, middle, northwest, northeast of China through construction, expansion, technique innovation and regroup, ect.
