    the yield of alumina increased by 13% to 23.9 million tons

     China aluminum announced the operating data of the first quarter yesterday, which showed the yield of alumina increased by 13% to 23.9 million tons, and exported sales fell by 18.8% to 11.9 million tons. As to the output of aluminum, it increased by 81% to 6.6 million tons, while the sales were 1.02 tims to 6 million tons.
          The average alumina price in the first quarter fell by 26.1% to 3.318 yuan per ton; while the average primary aluminum price increased slightly by 1% to 20,300 yuan (1.02 U.S dollars per pound). China aluminum predicated that the global aluminum market is still continuation of good price since last year. The price of LMW aluminum fluctuates between 2,700 and 3,300 U.S dollars per ton. The domestic aluminum price is between 18,000 yuan to 22,000 yuan, and the supply gap of alumina is still existing.

    China aluminum completes the capital investment of about 1.45 billion yuan. The alumina project of 800,000 tons in Chongqin, 800,000 tons in Zunyi and 800,000 tons in Guangxi have been started, and Guangxi Huayin 1.6 million tons project is expected to completed by the end of this year.
