    Jaguar's aluminium enriched 2016 XF diesel model reaches India

    Jaguar has imported its all-new XF model to Indian shores. Currently, the British-based automobile manufacturer has imported two units of the XF. Two variants have been imported from the United Kingdom which are the Portfolio and Prestige variants. Powering the 2016 Jaguar XF is a 2.0-litre diesel engine in two state of tunes. On offer will be a 163bhp and 180bhp tune options, and both engines will be mated only to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Internationally, the XF also gets a manual transmission, which will not be offered in India.

    The 2016-edition of the Jaguar XF is currently in its second generation avatar. The all-new XF is based on the company's iQ platform. Extensive use of aluminium will be used in the construction of 2016 Jaguar XF model. Overall the luxury sedan will lose approximately 190 kilograms.

    Jaguar plans to carve out a significant chunk out of the luxury car segment in the constantly evolving Indian market.
