Aluminium industry is a kind of resource industry whose development is based on consumption and exploration of alumyte, energy, electric power and water, etc. Production of 1 ton alumina consumes 1.8-2 tons alumyte, 0.3-1.6 tons limestone, 1.5 tons coal, 50 kg alkali and 10-20 tons fresh water.
Production of 1 ton primary aluminium consumes 2 tons alumina, 26-32 kg Fluoride, 15-16MWH electric power and 500-600 kg Carbon anode.
Production of 1 ton alumina discharges 0.9-1.7 tons red mud.
Aluminium industry of China has gradually came into shape the mode of “construct alumina around alumyte, construct electrolytic aluminium by relying on energy base, develop aluminium processing in consumption intensive areas”.
