In the face of increasingly volatile global commodity markets, Aluminium China 2016 will be focusing on opening up new business opportunities in the rapidly growing South East Asia markets. As one of the largest international aluminium industry events of the year, Aluminium China, from 12 -14 July at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, will bring together the complete aluminium value chain, from raw materials to primary aluminium and semi-finished and finished products. Visitors from over 60 countries will also be able to meet end-user application providers, equipment, technology and accessories suppliers, auxiliary materials manufacturers and consultancy, support services and import-export businesses.

Moving beyond the event’s trademark branding and networking, Aluminium China is introducing new programmes to provide access to South East Asia. The Targeted Attendee Program (TAP) Diamond Club will connect senior industry professionals with defined purchasing and procurement plans, to key industry suppliers that can help deliver end-to-end solutions.

India named as ‘Country of Honour’ in new initiative to support industry growth

In addition, Aluminium China is also introducing the ‘Country of Honour’ program to help both international and domestic businesses enter new markets and establish their brands across Asia. The initiative puts the spotlight on India, one of the biggest markets of the Southeast Asia, with a high demand for aluminium products and processing equipment driven by its rapidly growing consumption.

In partnership with Aluminium China, India will host a guest meeting with industry experts, government officers and major industry players to analyse the opportunities and challenges of the Indian aluminium market. This will be supported by a factory visit to show the strength and quality of Chinese aluminium processes and products.

In the future, the event intends to cooperate with more Southeast Asian countries to facilitate business relations. This targeted and market-driven approach is something that is unique to the ALUMINIUM CHINA 2016.

“In the future we plan to extend our new South East Asia Country of Honour Program, to add international visibility to the aluminium industry within the region,” said Zang Xiaomeng, Senior Project Manager of Reed Exhibitions. “This will allow our local and international trade show visitors and exhibitors to explore opportunities and find solutions to challenges across Southeast Asia.”

Aluminium China 2016 will feature a new ‘Castings Zone’

Reflecting the changing dynamics in the aluminium application sector, Aluminium China 2016 will feature a new ‘Castings Zone’, which breaks away from focusing only on materials and technologies and creates a special platform for downstream casting processing to build a channel between material purchasing and technological processing.

Aluminium China 2016’s International Visitor Program offers tailor-made benefits to its international visitors who register at the Aluminium China official website. They will be provided with local travel allowance, VIP access to all on-site conference sessions, seminars and hospitality, along with organised factory visits around Shanghai.

“This year, Aluminium China is expected to be more competitive and aggressive than ever because of the new market driven approach and huge participation of the material processing sector,” added Reed’s Zang Xiaomeng.
