Aluminium fabricators Dudley’s Aluminium will begin work on a new office development at Gatwick Diamond this year, which will generate revenue for front-line emergency services.
The offices are being developed on a brownfield site which has been pre-let by the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Surrey County Council believe this approach is a blueprint for other councils to follow; using land assets to provide long-term revenue streams that off-set budget cuts elsewhere.
The Gatwick Diamond, which has one of the strongest local economies in the UK, is home to over 45,000 businesses and the new office developments will create more jobs for the local economy.
Dudley’s Aluminium has secured a £670k contract to provide essential façade and glazing at the new office development. The company will work with Metal Technology Ltd to create custom-made curtain walling for the new offices which will then be installed along with automatic sliding entrance doors and automatic smoke vents.
Commenting on the project, Dudley’s managing director Colin Shorney said: “The Gatwick Diamond is an important economic driver within the UK, and we are very happy to be supporting its expansion using our expertise and experience in the commercial sector.”
Gatwick Diamond is due to be completed later this year and is one of two important projects Dudley’s will complete in Crawley in 2016. The company is also due to finish a £300k contract supporting the construction of the new Acorn Retail Park. The park will create hundreds of jobs for the local economy with retailers Aldi, Mark and Spencer’s and Smyths Toys all part of the development.
Dudley’s reputation for quality has been recognised with several industry-related accreditations. The company is CHAS and Achilles accredited, Constructionline registered, and certified to manufacture “Secured by Design” products.
Established in 1993, Dudley’s Aluminium offers clients full in-house design and production facilities, and has completed many successful and prestigious education, health, commercial, retail and defence sector projects throughout the UK and Channel Islands.
