A weaker U.S. dollar and resurgent oil prices supported gains in commodity-linked stocks, including Aluminum Corp of China (2600.HK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), which advanced 1.5 percent, and Jaingxi Copper (0358.HK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), which rose 1.8 percent.
