Jigang Group established win-win cooperation with Xinfa Aluminum & Electricity on recycling economy, namely decomposition and digest of red mud, a scrap released during alumina production, for reuse.

Data reveals that 1.5T red mud is released for production of 1T alumina. Being the largest aluminium manufacturing enterprise, Xinfa Aluminum & Electricity has produced large stocks of red mud due to ineffective treatment.

Jigang is the first test units of recycling economy in China; it is committed to research and development of red mud resources, conquered a number of difficulties in mine choosing, smelting process, etc, which offers possibility of making red mud environmental friendly.

With the technology developed by Jigang, Aluminium oxide can go back to aluminium plant, Fe can be used in steel production and leaves only tailings brick after deposition.

Shandong Xinfa is a comprehensive enterprise with ten industrial lines of electric generation, heat supply, electrolytic aluminium, carbon, fluoride salt and aluminium downstream processing, etc.

According to introduction, Jigang has formed scale production of red mud resources development. In H1 this year, the company produced more than 5000T desilication of steel-making by using red mud. By now, it has completed construction of red mud pellets project, capable of disposing 1600000T red mud a year; it can at least save a land of 160 mu, helps to cut 4000000 yuan retention.
