According to notice of Finance Department last Friday, tax will be collected on aluminium alloy, equaling to that of primary aluminium. This action surprises people of the field and adds burdan to Shanghai aluminium market.
Custom data reveals that total export volume of unforged aluminium exceeded 430 thousand tons in H1, 57.7% up year-on-year.
Difficulty in export of semi-finished primary aluminium products instead of primary aluminium in recent years exerts export in forms of aluminium alloy ingot, which is incommensurate to the nowadays shortage of energy supply.
The issue of 5% tax collect on export of unforged aluminium alloy ingot actually, has been rumoring for a while in this field.
Block in aluminium alloy ingot export exerts increase of primary aluminium in domestic market, which will add burdan to the already endangered electrolytic aluminium furtures market.
